“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28
Think about that verse for just a moment. Digging deeper you will find that two words/phrases really make this verse personal. First, the word "all" leaves no room for anything to be omitted from the promise. And secondly, the phrase "works together" gives the picture of mixing a cake. Flour, sugar, baking soda, and other ingredients might not be all that delicious as they stand alone. But mixed together and baked they make a scrumptious cake. So ALL things that happen in our lives might not seem good at the moment. But you can stand confidently, knowing that God is going to mix that "thing" He has allowed into your life with other things He allows. His final result will always be GOOD!
